Using Virtual-Measurements tools as a Researcher and Lecturer in Electromagnetics
Monday, December 21, 2020 - 16h30 GMT | Zoom Meetings
Abstract:
Virtual measurements refer to software-based results that can be directly obtained with a laboratory setup. Some information is always lost due to the intrinsic limitation of numerical modelling. However, if the sources of errors are well defined, the numerical results can still be referred as virtual measurements. Currently there is a wide variety of numerical freeware and commercial tools that can be used for the virtual development of products. In the academic context, a product can mean a pedagogic package to be used in classes or a prototype for a new research concept. In this talk, the presenter will share his experience on how he employed this type of tools in his activities as a researcher and teacher in electromagnetics.
